International Women's Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women's rights movement. In our English classes we were bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, women’s rights, sexism, stereotypes and important women in history.
To show that we can work collectively to impact positive change we encouraged the students to strike the #EmbraceEquity pose and took some pictures. On that day four charming young men decided to give away roses to their female teachers to honour them on this special day.
